7 Night 8 Day Bhutan Tour

TRIP OVERVIEW

Five days would take our guests exploring western Bhutan : Paro, Thimphu and Haa. Weeping willows along river sides is a common sight in all three regions, and they are river valley settlements.

Our first day in Paro would take us to Drukgyel Dzong (a ruined fortress). From this point, one can get a glimpse of the peak of mount Jumolhari. Our next destination is Taktshang monastery (the Tiger’s nest) which lies 3000 metres above the Paro valley, and then, Ta Dzong (National museum which houses numerous artefacts of Bhutanese history). Besides these, if our guests have interest to witness Paro Tshechu, a five days religious festival of mask dances, April is the month. We’ll plan the trip accordingly.

The last two days would take us to Haa and back to Paro. A unique and special experience inHaa would be taking a hot stone bath and if the tour is around November, new year time of the region, our guests would get to taste Habi Hoentoe, a dumpling of buckwheat prepared during celebrations. They would also have opportunity to join an archery match. Haa is also known for folk songs and dances.
